Gold

週末、用事があって久しぶりに国立へ。
大学のキャンパスは紅葉が美しくて、夕方の日差しが弱々しく青寒いなか、大勢の人たちが散歩をしたり写真を撮ったりしていました。
なので、わたしも１枚。久しぶりにGR Digitalで。

Last weekend I went to my old university campus to run some errand. There were lots of people despite the sunlight was faint and cold in the afternoon.  Ginko trees were all gold, compensating the weak sunlight.  It was so beautiful.


寒くなって来たので、手袋。
手袋って、大好きなのにどう付き合ったらいいのか未だによく分からない存在です。
いつも歩きながらも何かやっていたりするので、指が思うように使えないのがストレス。填めてもすぐポケットに仕舞っちゃったりします（笑）意味ない。

It's becoming cold these days, so I dug out my leather gloves from the closet.
Leather gloves are like friends you love but have not quite learned how to deal with yet.  I always fiddle with things even while walking, for example, picking music, texting, finishing breakfast, wearing accessories (because I have little time at home in the morning) etc., I tend to wear gloves then instantly take them off and put them in my pockets.

それなのに、革の手袋の醸し出す雰囲気が好きで、気がついたらこんなに持っていました。（まだ持っていない色が沢山あるので、多すぎるとは思わないんですけど。）
社会人になりたてのとき、母に茶革の手袋をプレゼントしてもらい、とても気に入っていました。それが、仕事で遠くへ出かけた時に片方落としてしまったらしく、その悔しくて悲しい気持ちが忘れられなくて、未だに思い出します。そのショックから何年も革の手袋が買えず、下の黒いのを手にしたのは随分経ってから。
その次に買ったボルドーは、４〜５年前、パリで前日買ったローファーを手袋屋さんに持って行って、同じ色の手袋を選んだもの。が、ローファーがつい最近までキツすぎて履けなかったので、手袋も今年やっと登場です。

Still, I love the atmosphere around these soft leathers.  I started buying them a couple of years ago, and now I have these collection (the one on the far right is a pair I knitted recently).

この２つは、今年フィレンツェで買いました。
４０度の猛暑の中、手袋を２つも買う人も珍しいと思うのだけど、誘惑に負けてしまいました。イタリアの手袋屋さん、この世で一番好きなお店の１つです。
These two pairs, I bought them in Florence last June.  I knew I was crazy buying two pairs of leather gloves in the sweltering dying hot weather.  But, it was worth it.

既に以前、この写真を載せているかもしれないけど、もう一度。
写真の黄色もいいな。
