Opening Party of Sensory Memory Exhibition 展覧会オープニング

We went to the opening party of our dear friend Naomi (on the right above) last night (http://www.fogscape.com/) at Art Trace Gallerly in Ryogoku.  It's run until March 27th so hope you can make it!

As I may have written before, I purchased one of her works right after I moved into this apartment last year.  I am living with her work, which colors and mood change every day, and it's looking a bit deep and heavy today.  It has been an experience living with an art piece.

Her new works are full of blues - warm, not cold and serene - and full of treasured memories.  I especially liked her purple and yellow piece, as well as the one called "Stove" with thousand hues of blues.

昨晩は友人の繁田直美さんの展覧会オープニングに行ってきました。両国のアートトレースギャラリーで４週間の会期で開催中。

以前も書きましたが、去年引っ越しした直後に彼女の絵を購入し、毎日一緒に暮らしています。大きな壁が出来た瞬間に、もう直美さんにコンタクトした感じ。
予告されていたとおり、色もムードも毎日違うように見え、絵を見ていると今日の自分の気分が分かるような気がしたり。

今回の展覧会は様々な色合いの青、紫、緑、黄色に溢れた作品が中心。「残香」と「ストーブ」が特に気に入りました。
わたしは毎回直美さんの黄色やオレンジに惹かれてしまうので、いつか、もうひとつダイニングスペースに、と思っています。
